Aruba Watersports

Watersports

The ocean is Aruba's playground. Rent a jet-ski, sunfish, paddleboat, waverunner, bananaboat, kayak or tube right at most hotels. Try parasailing for a bird's eye view of the beach activities. Resorts offer beginner courses where you can learn to scuba dive or snorkle or try Snuba. Or if you're already experienced there are many scuba, Snuba and snorkle cruises where a variety of dive or snorkel packages are available. No need to bring your gear, it can be rented from any of the operators. Aruba is known as the windsurfing capital of the World, take lessons or rent gear if you're already experienced. And of course there is swimming in the warm and gentle Caribbean waters at Aruba's many beaches, all public.

Or you could upgrade and do Snuba, where you go below the water's surface in search of treasures.

Sailboard Vacations

Aruba offers the most consistently reliable wind in the Caribbean with average year-round wind speeds in excess of 20 knots, often increasing to 25, 30 knots during spring and summer. Flat, shallow water will offer excellent beginner sailing inside the reef, while more advanced sailors enjoy the "blue highway" offshore for speed sailing. The wind builds from ideal learning conditions in the morning to blasting winds for more advanced sailors in the afternoon. Located at Aruba Beach Villas, the beach is located directly across the street, and windsurfing gear is rigged and ready to go with all sail and board sizes to choose from.
